FY18-19 Grantees: Applications are Open for DCYF University

In the fall of 2017 DCYF launched DCYF University, a focused technical assistance and capacity building effort that takes individuals, programs and agencies to the next level. Participants complete core courses, prerequisites and specialization courses. Registration ends Friday, June 22, 2018, 5PM. ***A DCYF University Information Session will be available on Tuesday, June 12, 10:30AM - 11:30AM and Monday, June 25, 5:00PM - 6:00PM at DCYF, 1390 Market Street, Suite 900, Mint Conference Room.

2018 Free Summer Meal Sites

From June 7 to August 17 over 100 sites throughout San Francisco will serve free lunches and snacks to anyone age 18 and under every weekday. No proof of need, registration, or identification is necessary in order to receive a lunch or snack. The only requirement: arrive at a participating site during the site’s serving time.

The Women's Foundation of California Accepting Applications for Women's Policy Institute Fellowship

Women's Policy Institute is a policy advocacy and leadership training fellowship for cisgender and transgender women, genderqueer and non-binary people, and transgender men who want to build their skills to influence public policymaking at the state level. Interested applicants are encouraged to sign up for an informational webinar, and applications are due by July 24.

Play Streets empowers residents to transform a residential city block on a regularly occurring schedule into a car-free space for children, families and neighbors to come together and get active. Sound interesting? Register for Livable City Play Streets Bootcamp to get the training and technical assistance to organize a Play Streets Series with your neighbors!

The SF Public Library's Summer Stride program encourages all ages and abilities to have fun reading and learning this summer. Stop by a neighborhood library and check out books, comics, eBooks, audiobooks, movies, music and more. Plus, choose from more than 800 programs (all free!) to deepen reading enjoyment, spark STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) passions and learn through active, outside exploration.
