Help Me Grow Early Care and Education Initiative RFQ Now Open

DCYF, the SF Office of Early Care and Education, and First 5 San Francisco are seeking an experienced entity to oversee, implement, and enhance the county’s Help Me Grow Early Care and Education Initiative. This entity will implement a system for early care and education that aligns with the National HMG framework, promotes administration and tracking of developmental screens, educates and engages programs and families in utilizing screening results, ensures a coordinated response to identified concerns, and offers ­systems navigation and family support for high-risk developmental concerns. Applications are due April 16, 2018.

California Academy of Science Recruiting for Careers in Science Internship

The California Academy of Sciences is accepting applications for their Careers in Science Intern Program. CiS provides San Francisco 9th and 10th graders from communities traditionally underrepresented in STEM fields with opportunities to immerse themselves in the sciences. Applications are due April 2.

MYEEP Accepting Applications for Summer Session

Applications are open for the Mayor's Youth Employment and Education Program (MYEEP)! MYEEP provides young people in San Francisco who have multiple barriers to employment with first-time work experiences that will support their ongoing participation and success in education and in the workforce. San Francisco youth ages 14-18 are welcome and encouraged to apply! Applications are due April 6.

Support for Families of Children with Disabilities Information & Resource Conference Coming Up on April 7

Registration is now open for the annual Support For Families of Children With Disabilities Information & Resource Conference. This free annual conference includes workshops and a resource fair for families of children with disabilities, the professionals who work with them, and members of the community. The Conference will take place on Saturday, April 7 from 8:30am to 3:30pm at John O'Connell High School. Be sure to say hello at the DCYF table!
